Upstream authority SKK Migas said PT Pupuk Kaltim (PKT), a subsidiary of state owned firm PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), is definitely going to take gas amounting to 35 mmscfd from the Jangkrik fields in Muara Bakau block, East Kalimantan which is operated by Italian firm Eni SpA.

?Currently, Eni is negotiating with PKT on sales and purchasing agreement for Jangkrik?s gas,? Vice Chairman of SKK Migas Zikrullah told Petromindo.com.

Eni has thus far secured one buyer for Jangkrik?s gas, namely state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero). The state firm signed on Tuesday a gas sales and purchasing agreement (GSPA) with Eni for gas supply amounting 1.4 mtpa for seven years.
