Purnomo installs top officials of downstream oil, gas authority

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro Tuesday installed nine top officials of the recently set-up downstream oil and gas authority.

They included former House of Representatives member Tubagus Hariyono, who was appointed as chairman of the body.

The other eight people were business consultant Lubna Amir; Shahabudin, former director of exploitation and trade at the oil and directorate general; Hanggono T. Nugroho from National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas); Eri Purnomohadi, chairman of National Entrepreneurs Association; Amat Ramlan Ginting, former head of the Maluku provincial office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources; Hairyati, former executive of state gas transmission and distribution company PGN; and Iwan Faidi from Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (BPPN).

The body, formed last year based on the current oil and gas law, manages oil products and their distribution along with natural gas pipeline transportation. (godang)
