Purnomo opens oil, gas and energy conference

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro opened on Monday the Indonesian Oil & Gas and Energy Conference and Exhibition V(IIOGE V) in Jakarta.

The two-day conference focuses on the development of the country?s downstream sector including efforts to increase competitiveness of its oil and gas exports. Participants in the annual meeting will also discuss the development of the geothermal energy sector.

Participants in the conference include Eduardo V. Manalac, undersecretary of the Philippines' Department of Energy, chairman of Indonesia's Investment Coordinating Board Theo F. Toemion, and officials from oil and gas companies. (godang)
