Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro said Wednesday that there was no plan to ration fuel for industries because fuel supply was secure.

?There is no plan to ration fuel for industries,? Purnomo told reporters, saying that domestic fuel prices were stable.

Indonesia imports crude oil from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for Cilacap and Balongan refineries because it fits the technology used by the facilities. The Cilacap refinery, in Central Java, is the country?s largest crude distilling facility.

Meanwhile, the deputy director of state oil and gas firm Pertamina in charge of crude transportation, Ibrahim Hashim, told Petromindo.Com Tuesday that so far crude transportation from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to Indonesia had run as usual despite the ongoing war in Iraq.

Recently, Purnomo ordered the country?s refineries to operate at full capacity and delay turnaround plans. (godang)
