Purnomo to lobby Iraq to allow Pertamina keeps oil blocks

Minister of Energy and mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro saiod Truesday Indonesia will seek clarification from Iraqi authority regarding the fate of Pertamina?s oil blocks in Western Desert and Tuba during OPEC meeting in Qatar in June.

?We will lobby Iraqi authority to enable Pertamina to keep the blocks,? said Purnomo.

Iraqi?s government under the presidency of Saddam Hussein had awarded two oil exploration blocks to Pertamina, and it was feared that new authority under control of the United States would annul the award. (godang)
