But the paper said that the reshuffle included the replacement of director general of electricity and energy development Endro Utomo Notodisuryo by Luluk Sumiarso, a senior official at the ministry of mineral resources and energy.
The paper said that the director general of geology and mineral resources Suryantoro would be replaced by Wimpie S. Tjejep.
The paper added that the directorate general of mining would be liquidated following the implementation of the regional autonomy law, which transfers most of the authority of the directorate to provinces and regencies. Regarding PLN president, Purnomo said that it was not the authority of his ministry, but the authority of the ministry of finance and director general of state enterprises.
Purnomo dismissed rumors that he would install his close friends in strategic positions at the ministry. (*)
