Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro will visit Australia on June 28 where he will discuss the possibility of Indonesia?s state gas distribution company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) to join Australian firms to develop gas pipeline between Darwin and Port Moresby, PGN president director WMB Simandjuntak said on Wednesday.
Simandjuntak said Australia three years ago had offered PGN to take part in the 2500-kilometer pipeline project. So far, however, no bilateral talks had been held to follow up on the offer, he said.
The project will require some US$2 million, said Simandjuntak who will join Purnomo in his Australian visit. (Godang)
