Speaking in a meeting with the House of Representatives commission VII on mines and energy, Purnomo said that the coal royalty funds must only be used for coal development in the country.
He said that the purchase of a property in Jakarta could be related to coal development program, but the purchase of cars was clearly out of context.
But he said that he would investigate this matter.
Legislators have accused the ministry, before Purnomo became the minister, of misusing the coal funds by purchasing property called the Centris Plaza and some cars.(*)
