Pusaka supplies 40 units of Belaz dump trucks to PTBA

Heavy equipment company PT Pusaka Bumi Transportasi, a subsidiary of IDX-listed taxi operator PT Blue Bird Tbk, said it will supply a total of 40 dump trucks manufactured by Belarus? state-owned firm OJSC Belaz to IDX-listed coal giant PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA).
Bayu P. Djokosoetono, CEO of Pusaka, which has been appointed as the sole distributor of Belaz dump trucks in Indonesia since 2012, said that 25 units of Belaz dump truck have arrived, and another 15 units to gradually arrive by February of next year.
He added that the company hopes to sell another 40 units in the first semester of next year to mining companies and mining contractors.
Bayu is hopeful that the current recovery in the global mining sector will trigger higher sales next year.
He said that Belaz dump trucks have capacity of between 50 tons and 490 tons. Pusaka, he said, provides reliable after sales service for its customers.
