Putra Bara conducts AMDAL activity

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Putra Bara Jaya is conducting environmental impact assessment study, or AMDAL to allow the company to develop its mine in Tabalar sub-district, Berau regency.
The company has made an announcement regarding AMDAL activity to the public through local newspaper.
The mine, covering a total area of 4,761 ha, is currently still at the exploration stage. There is no more data immediately available about the mine. In 2007, Malaysian Andaman Group reportedly acquired the mine, although it?s not immediately clear whether the group still control the mine.
