Putra Mining to build pig iron smelter in West Kalimantan

Iron ore mining company Putra Mining Group is currently in the process of developing a smelter near its concession in West Kalimantan, according to a source who requested for anonimity.
The source told Petromindo.com that the smelter was scheduled to start commercial operation in 2017.
The smelter, which would produce pig iron, would have a production capacity of 400,000 tons per year, the source added.
