The Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI) estimated Indonesian coal production would growth by 5 percent this quarter compared to last quarter?s production.

?Most major coal miners are operating normally. Rains that were feared to disturb operations did not happen, therefore five percent increase in production is very likely,? APBI?s chairman Jeffrey Mulyono told Petromindo.Com Thursday.

In the fourth quarter of 2002, Indonesian coal miners produced 25.68 million tons. (godang)
