State oil, gas company PT.Pertamina was forced to shut down its Balongan refinery operations for several hours after the 7.5 Richter scale magnitude earthquake hit Western part of Java early Thursday.
?The earthquake caused electricity supply to stop, affecting the whole operations,? Processing Director Suroso Atmomartoyo told Petromindo.Com.
He said now Pertamina is trying to restart the operations.
Balongan has capacity to process 125,000 barrels of crude per day. (godang)
