Quest Petroleum appoints CEO

Australia-listed firm Quest Petroleum NL announced the appointment of Anthony D. Milewski as its Managing Director and CEO, the company stated in a press statement on Monday.
It said that Milewski had extensive experience in the energy and resource industries and an active involvement in global capital markets. He has held board positions with several public energy and resource companies in emerging markets and immediately prior to joining Quest he has held positions at Skadden Arps, Renaissance Capital and Firebird Management.
Milewski has spent a significant part of his career living and working in emerging markets, including Africa, Russia and Asia. He is a lawyer and a member of the New York State Bar, holds an M.A. in International Studies and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington. He was a Fulbright scholar to Russia and holds an LLM in Russian law from the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The Company was granted the Ranau production sharing contract (PSC) in November 2011. It covers 2,191km? of the South Sumatra Basin.
Sumatra is the 6th largest island in the world and has a well established oil and gas industry with some 450 oil and gas fields containing reserves of more than 45 billion barrels of oil equivalent.
Recent exploration at the Ranau PSC has identified four sub-basins and 16 highly prospective leads. The Company is preparing to drill these leads and if successful, take them to production, accessing the extensive infrastructure and multiple hydrocarbon markets located within close proximity to these projects and Sumatra.
