Radiant?s profit jumps 210 percent

Publicly listed PT Radiant Utama Interinsco Tbk (RUIS) saw its net profit up by 210.5 percent to Rp 10.5 billion during the first quarter this year as compared to Rp 3.4 billion during the same period last year. Its earning per share increased to Rp 13.6.

The increase of net profit was a result of the 17.1 percent growth in revenue to Rp 315,5 billion during the first quarter of 2012 as compared to Rp 268.2 billion during the same period last year. The operational support division contributed Rp 219 billion, which is the largest contribution among all of the company?s divisions.

?Our clients increased their project utilization and we?ve got big contract last year,? the company?s Corporate Secretary Misyal A Bahwal was quoted by Investor Daily as saying in Jakarta recently.

Misyal is optimistic that the division will become the largest contributor of income along this year. Until now, the company has bagged contract on hand at the total value of Rp 1.2 trillion. It has also secured a contract worth Rp 348,9 billion.

After acquiring Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU), the company?s total assets increased from Rp 684,6 billion to Rp 1,02 trillion.(*)
