Radiant spuds Sinmar 3 well

PT Radiant Bukit Barisan E&P (RBB) had on June 30 spudded the Sinamar-3 well in the South West Bukit Parisan PSC in West Sumatra.

This was said by West Sumatra Governor Irwan Prayitno late last week. He said that the operator has found gas reserves at the Sinamar-1 and 2, which pending approval from the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, to be used for a 120 MW power plant.

He added that the operator of the block plans to drill two other wells this year, the South Sinamar-2 and Ganesha-1.

The South West Bukit Barisan block was awarded to the consortium of PT Radiant Utama Barisan E&P (51%, operator) and PC (SKR) International Ltd (49%) on Nov. 13, 2008.
