Rajawali, Brantas to develop hydro power plant in W. Sumatra

Two state-owned companies PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia and PT Brantas Abipraya are teaming up to develop a 15.6 MW mini hydro power plant in South Solok, West Sumatra.

Rajawali?s subsidiary PT Mitra Kerinci and Brantas? subsidiary PT Brantas Energi signed on Wednesday an agreement to develop the estimated Rp 460 billion project, Bisnis.com reported.

Didik Prasetyo, President Director of Rajawali said that the electricity output will be sold to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN to increase power supply in the region. Over 10,600 households in South Solok have yet to obtain electricity supply. (*)
