Rajawali seeks to expand coal, gold portfolio

Diversified conglomerate Rajawali Corp is seeking to expand its coal and gold portfolio, a company official said on Thursday.

Deputy Managing Director Hendra Surya said that the company is now evaluating a number of prospects.

?We prefer to acquire projects which have been at advanced exploration stage or near development stage,? he said. He also said the company may further expand its portfolio to Indo China and Africa after three years.

Currently the company has 49% stake at East Kalimantan coal mining firm PT. International Prima Coal (IPC) and 30% stake at UK firm Archipelago Resources which controls Toka Tindung gold mining project in North Sulawesi. (denny)
