Ramba Energy JRR-6 well drilling reaches target depth

Singapore-listed Ramba Energy Ltd said the drilling of JRR-6 development well at Jatirarangon block, West Java has reached target depth of 1,298 meters. The block is operated by the company?s subsidiary Ramba Energy Jatirarangon (REJ) Limited.

It said mud logs and quad combo open hole logging indicate two zones with a total of 14 meters of potential gas. Casing and cementing has been run to 1,284 meters, with completion and production testing to follow.

The JRR-6 is the second of two development wells drilled by the company in the second half of 2011.

The first well, the JRR-7, commenced gas production on 27 October 2011.

The JRR-7 well currently produces approximately 4.0 MMSCFD from one out of a total of six zones. The total production of the Jatirarangon block is approximately 6.8 MMSCFD of gas and approximately 105 barrels of oil and condensate per day.

REJ operates the Jatirarangon block with a 70 percent working interest whilst PT Wahana Sad Karya owns the remaining 30 percent working interest as non-operator. (romel).
