For that purpose, the company, which also operates West Jambi KSO block and Lemang PSC, has set aside US$20 million to $30 million in capital expenditure this year. The production increase is intended to meet its commitment of supplying up to 10 MMSCFD to state gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara, according to CEO and Executive Director David Aditya Soeryadjaya.
David said that of the three blocks operated by the company, only Jatirarangon has been producing, currently at 70 barrels per day of oil and 3.4 MMSCFD of gas. The Lemang PSC block is still in exploration stage and is expected to start producing by 2012. Meanwhile, the company is carrying out the 2D and 3D seismic studies at the West Jambi KSO block and expects to drill two wells there in 2012, meaning the block's first production could take place in 2016.
