Oil production of Pertamina EP?s business unit EP Ramba has reached a total of 4,250 barrels of oil per day (BOPD), a 32 percent increase from the production level recorded last year.

General manager for the EP Ramba, Kunto Wibisono said on Thursday that the increase was due to the optimalization of the production activities at Ramba, Bentayan Mangunjaya and Kluang fields.

He said that the current production was the highest ever recorded by EP Ramba, which took over its current oil fields from TAC Pertamina-Elnusa Trisar Ramba Ltd in October, last year. The production was only 3,400 BOPD before EP Ramba took over the fields.

With the optimalization of the production activities at all the fields, Kunto hoped that the production would reach 5,000 BOPD at the end of 2011. (romel)
