Ramba starts deepening JRR production well

SGX-listed Ramba Energy Limited said that it had commenced the deepening of the JRR-1 production well of Jatirarangon Block in West Java on Friday, 5th July 2013.
The JRR-1 well currently has a total depth of 5,250 feet, and will be deepened to a total depth of approximately 8,900 feet, the company said in a press statement on Friday.
The deepening of the JRR-1 well is targeting the Talang Akar and Baturaja Formation. The company had discovered oil in the Baturaja Formation in 2011 during the JRR-3 ST Workover.
The company expects drilling operations to take approximately 15 days, with an additional 10 days for completion and testing.
The company will make such further announcements to inform shareholders of any updates or developments at the Jatirarangon block.
