Rantau field output rises, new drilling program planned

Upstream company PT Pertamina EP (PEP) said that production at the Rantau oil field in Tamiang Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, has this month increased to 3,110 bopd from 2,200 bopd previously.

PEP President Director Nanang Abul Manaf said on Monday that the output increase was a result of water flooding enhanced oil recovery program applied in the field.

?The output increased to 3,110 bopd from 2,200 bopd. This is a result of water flooding (EOR program),? Nanang told Petromindo.com.

He added that the company is also preparing to drill the Titanium well in the Rantau field, with drill stem test (DST) scheduled for end of October of this year.

?Drilling of the Titanium well is scheduled for end of this month, using 500 HP PDSI rig. The DST is scheduled in January 2018,? he said.
