RBH reports reserves on producing blocks

Coal miner group PT. Permata Resources reported that its coal unit PT Riau Baraharum (RBH) has combined reserves of 29.4 million tons as of September 2012 at its Siambul and Kelesa blocks in Indragiri Hulu and Indragiri Hilir regencies.

Of the total 29.4 million tons, around 11.3 million tons is proven and the remaining is probable reserves.

Proven reserve is 5.8 million tons with 5.5 million, and 9.5 million tons with 8.6 million tons of probable reserves at the Kelesa and Siambul blocks, respectively.

According to the report, Kelesa block had started into coal production since June 2005 and Siambul block had produced since March 2009 until now. Total production from Siambul block as of August 2012 and Kelesa block as of June 2011 was 2.87 and 4.87 million tons, respectively.

PT Jasa Tambang Indonesia (JTI) has conducted the ?desk study? report based on the previous report which was conducted by SRK Consulting but the figure, which was issued by JTI was lower around 3 million tons of coal reserves compared to the SRK report of May 2011.

Calorific value from Kelesa block is 5400 kcal/kg (GAR) and 5100-5600 kcal/kg (GAR) for the Siambul block.

RBH is second generation of coal contract of work (CCoW) and located in Indragiri Hulu and Indragiri Hilir regencies.
