PT Refined Bangka Tin (RBT), an integrated tin processing company in Bangka Belitung province, expects output by the end of this year to reach about 10,000 tons, lower than installed annual production capacity of 12,000 tons.

RBT Director Petrus Tjandra told Petromindo.com Tuesday that the problem was related to difficulties in obtaining tin raw material amid rampant illegal shipment of the commodity.

He expects the government to immediately take action to remedy the situation.

Set up in 2007, RBT operates an integrated tin mining operation in Bangka Belitung from exploration to mining and from processing to marketing.
