Australian-listed company Realm Resources Limited said that the company was waiting approval from Indonesian Forestry Ministry to upgrade forestry permit from exploration to operational status in Katingan Ria project, Central Kalimantan.
?The upgrade request is now with the Ministry of Forestry at the national level and the company anticipates the approval process to be finalized within the first quarter of 2012,? the company said in its quarterly report to December 31 to its stakeholders.
The Katingan Ria project covers 5,053 hectares located within Katingan Hulu district in Central Kalimatan
The company has also sent letter requiring support for upgrading the forestry permit to the local administration including Governor of Central Kalimantan.
It said that at the recommendation of Governor (of Central Kalimantan), the right to use the proposed haul road and allocations of land adjacent to the river for stockpiles and barge loading infrastructure had been legislated within the forestry permit.
?This assistance from the provincial government greatly enhances attaining the Company?s goal of becoming a mid-tier mining company in the area,? it said.
