PT Nusantara Regas has reportedly signed a head of agreement (HoA) with PT PGN and memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Pertagas on the sales of gas from its Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) West Java.
?With PGN we have a HoA in place. PGN is technically and physically ready. PGN has ensured us that it will purchase gas if we have the supply. But with Pertagas, there are still discussions due to its limited pipe network,? Regas President Hendra Jaya said.
He was speaking to Media Pertamina. When contacted by petromindo.com, Hendra has yet to respond. Ari Adji, Director of Technical and Operation, meanwhile simply replied:?I?m sorry, we cannot disclose that as yet.?
The FSRU is committed to supply a combined 400 mmscfd of gas to the PLTGU Muara Karang and PLTGU Tanjung Priok combined cycle power plants in North Jakarta, owned by state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara.
But, Regas has said that the regasification capacity could actually be raised to 500 mmscfd and talks have been underway to seek approval for additional supply.
