Regency orders operation halt of PPC

Penajam Paser Utama regency administration in East Kalimantan has ordered coal miner PT Penajam Prima Coal (PPC) to temporarily halt operations as the company is accused of polluting Lawe-lawe River, which is a main source for the regency?s tap water supply.
Local media Balikpapan Pos reported on Thursday that the regency administration has ordered the company to revise its environmental impact assessment document. (*)
