Regent asks Kideco Jaya Agung to give more helps to local people

Regent of Pasir, East Kalimantan regretted the lack of concerns of coal mining company PT Kideco Jaya Agung for the development of the area around its coal mine in Batu Sopang., calling the company to allocate Rp 1 billion per year for the community development programs, Suara Kaltim reported.

"I have asked the company to allocate Rp 1 billion for community development programs and the company had accepted the proposal," Yusriansyah Syarkawi recently said.

The regent called on the company to consult with the local people and officials on the use of the fund given the fact the villages around its coal mine had different needs. (*)
