Regional LNG: First Gen Corp announces tender for LNG supply

First Gen Corporation (FGEN), a leading public energy company based in the Philippines, announced on Wednesday (September 4) an invitation to bid for the supply of a single cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The tender, managed through its wholly-owned subsidiary First Gen Singapore Pte. Ltd, is aimed at fulfilling the fuel needs of FGEN’s gas-fired power plants located in the First Gen Clean Energy Complex in Batangas.

The bid is open to experienced LNG suppliers for the provision of one LNG cargo to be delivered on a Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) basis at Subic Bay Freeport in Zambales, Philippines. The scheduled delivery window for the cargo is between October 14 and October 18, 2024. The required quantity for this tender is 154,500 cubic meters, with a permissible operational tolerance of plus or minus 4%.

Interested bidders must first sign a Confidentiality Agreement, which can be requested via email from FGEN at famangahas@firstgen.com.ph. Detailed bid documents and instructions are available to those who comply with this requirement.

The final decision on the awarded bid is anticipated to be made on September 16, 2024. However, FGEN reserves the right to cancel the invitation or reject any or all bids at its discretion before a proposal is accepted.
