Regional LNG: Guangdong achieves significant progress in LNG project

LNG project is one of the ten key projects in Guangdong Province. Last October, Chinese government authorized it. Its receiving station project started at the end of last year, and one third of it has been completed. The starting work of the pioneering project marks the LNG project entered into a full operation stage.
The gas-transmitting line starts from the LNG receiving station in Shenzhen, crossing Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou and Foshan, and then transmits the natural gas to gas-fired power plants and companies. It is total 379 kilometers long.
The designers for the gas-transmitting line and the main equipment suppliers have been decided through bidding. The detailed design for the project has been finished about 55 percent. (*)
