Thursday, April 20 2006 - 06:51 AM WIB
The North West Self Venture (NWSV) of Australia delivered about 2.77 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) or about 300 cargoes in the first quarter of 2006, slightly down from 2.87 million tons (312 cargoes) in the previous quarter.
According to Woodside Petroleum?s quarterly report, LNG production of 31,222 tons per day was lower than the previous quarter of 33,447 tons per day due to warmer seasonal conditions and production restrictions due to the impact of Tropical Cyclone activity.
The six equal participants in the NWSV are: BHP Petroleum, BP Developments Australia, Chevron Asiatic, Japan Australia LNG, Shell Developments and the operator Woodside Petroleum.
NWSV has long-term contracts with customers in Japan and South Korea, and from 2006 will be supplying LNG to China?s first LNG terminal in Guangdong. (Robert)
