Regional LNG: Repsol shortlisted for Chilean LNG project: Report

Spanish-Argentine oil company Repsol YPF SA has been shortlisted for a liquefied natural gas project in Chile, La Gaceta de los Negocios reported in its Tuesday internet edition.

U.K.'s BP PLC, BG Group PLC, Australia's Woodside Petroleum, Indonesia's Pertamina, Royal Dutch Shell PLC and Russia's Gazprom OAO have also been pre-selected for this project.

The winning company will supply 1.4 million tons of LNG a year to a regasification plant in the Chilean port of Quintero. Repsol would supply the LNG from its exploratory fields in the Peruvian gas-rich region of Camisea. (*)
