Australian oil and gas producer Woodside Petroleum Ltd. said on Thursday a closed processing train on its North West Shelf liquefied natural gas (LNG) project will reopen on schedule next week, Reuters reported.
The train, has been shut since Aug. 31 for repairs to blade and rotor damage on a refrigerant compressor.
A Woodside spokeswoman said that the company has continued to make deliveries during the disruption but that some had been at "adjusted volumes with the consent of customers", for the first time in the 16-year history of Australia's only LNG-producing facility.
Cargoes from the North West Shelf are sold under long-term contract to mainly Japanese and Korean customers.(*)
