Rekayasa Industri eyeing Pertamina aging field

State-owned engineering firm PT Rekayasa Industri is eyeing aging wells owned by PT Pertamina E&P, the upstream arm of state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina, Bisnis Indonesia reported Monday.

President Director Triharyo Susilo said last week that the company would team up with Petros of Russia and Kelkar of the United States to conduct enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects to increase the oil lifting of the Pertamina fields.

He said that the joint project was aimed to boost domestic oil production that had shown declining trend over the past several years.
