Rekind, Rafako team up to build Lombok power plant

State engineering firm PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind), and Polish EPC contractor Rafako, signed a partnership agreement last week to build a 2 x 50 MW coal-fired power plant in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara for state electricity company PLN.

Rafako's president and chief executive, Agnieszka Wasilewska said that the project will comply with technical standards set in the European Union in terms of conventional power generation and will also use environmentally-friendly technology and processes.

The signing of the partnership agreement took place last Friday in Szczecin, Poland, witnessed by Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Poland's Minister of Maritime and Inland Navigation Marek Grobarczyk.
