A consortium led by state-owned engineering firm PT Rekayasa Industri has won an engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning (EPCI) contract for subsea pipeline (SPL), and single point mooring (SPM) and flushing system facilities at the Balongan oil refinery in Indramayu, West Java.
State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina signed the EPCI contract with Rekind on Monday.
Pertamina said in a statement that Rekind will team up with InterMoor Pte Ltd in the project that is expected to be completed in 21 months to increase the reliability of the Balongan refinery.
The statement said that the project will replace the current SPM loading/unloading facility, which has a capacity of 150,000 DWT, and the offshore pipeline network, with new facilities with higher capacity of 160,000 DWT.
