Release: Antam monthly exploration report for August 2013

(Jakarta, September 13, 2013) -- PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk is pleased to announce its exploration report for August 2013 in accordance with the Indonesia Stock Exchange listing rules

ANTAM?s exploration activities were focused on gold, nickel, bauxite, and coal in August 2013, with total preliminary cost of Rp6.5 billion.

GOLD
ANTAM conducted gold exploration activities at Pongkor and Papandayan, West Java ; Cibaliung, Banten; and Bujang-Batulicin, iambi in August 2013. During the period, ANTAM spent Rp4.6 billion for gold exploration activities.

Exploration activities at Pongkor, West Java were consisted of geological mapping, core logging, core sampling, drilling, core analysis, as well as geological evaluation and modeling.

At Papandayan, West Java , ANTAM performed geological mapping, core logging, hand-auger/soil sampling, core and rock sampling, drilling, magnetic geophysical measurement, drill track measurement, GE track measurement, point-load sampling and testing, core/rock/soil analysis, as well as geological evaluation and modeling.

At Cibaliung, Banten, ANTAM conducted geological spectral testing, core logging, soil sampling, core and rock sampling, drilling and geological modeling and evaluation.

Meanwhile, at Batulicin, Jambi, ANTAM performed geological mapping, core logging, core and rock samplings as well as geological evaluation and modeling.

NICKEL
Nickel exploration activities were conducted in Bull, North Maluku and Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi in August 2013.

At Buli, North Maluku , ANTAM conducted semi-detailed geological mapping, topographical measurements, drilling-grid and geophysical measurements, drilling, core logging, core and pet/mm samplings, as well as SG and MC measurements.

The exploration activities at Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi were consisted of semi-detailed geological mapping, drilling, core logging, core sampling, density and MC measurements, grid measurement, and polygonal measurement.

ANTAM spent Rp589.1 5 million on nickel exploration activities in August 2013.

BAUXITE
ANTAM conducted bauxite exploration activities at Menjalin, Karangan, Tayan and Munggu Pasir, West Kalimantan with total exploration cost of Rpl.19 billion in August 2013. The exploration activities were comprised of test pitting, test-pit logging, sampling and preparations.

COAL
In August 2013, ANTAM conducted coal exploration activities in Tebo, Jambi, with total cost of Rp83.23 million. (end of release)
