Antam?s exploration activities were focused on nickel, gold, and bauxite in February 2013, with total preliminary cost of Rp17.1 billion.
NICKEL
Nickel exploration activities were conducted in Buli, North Maluku; Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi; and Pulau Gag, West Papua in February 2013.
In general, Antam conducted core logging and sampling; moisture content (MC) and specific gravity (SG) measurements; test pitting; topography and grid measurements, x-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement, detailed geological mapping (DGM); and sample preparation.
Antam spent Rp5.7 billion on nickel exploration activities in February 2013.
GOLD
Antam conducted gold exploration activities at West Java , Banten, and Jambi in February 2013. In that period, Antam spent RplO.7 billion for gold exploration activities.
Exploration activities at Pongkor included, among others, DGM; core logging and sampling; drilling; drill track and geophysics measurements; ground-magnetic geophysical measurement; gravity geophysical measurement; point load test; core analysis; as well as geological evaluation and modeling.
At Papandayan, Antam performed geological mapping; core logging; core and rock samplings; hand auger measurement; drilling; drill track measurement; GF and geochemical; point load test; core, rock, and soil analysis; as well as geological evaluation and modeling.
At Cibaliung, Antam conducted geological mapping; TSG and rock sampling; geophysical CSAMT sampling; GR track sampling; core, rock, and soil analysis; as well as geological evaluation and modeling.
Meanwhile, at Batulicin, Jambi, Antam performed geological mapping; core logging; core and rock samplings; hand auger measurement; drilling; drill track, GF and geochemical measurements; P and magnetic geophysical measurements; point and load test; core, rock, and soil analysis; as well as geological evaluation and modeling.
BAUXITE
Antam conducted bauxite exploration activities at Mempawah, Landak, Tayan, and Munggu Pasir, West Kalimantan with total exploration activities for bauxite amounting to Rp709.3 million in February 2013. (end of release)
