Release: Antam monthly exploration report for June 2007

(Jakarta, 12 July 2007) -- PT Antam, Tbk is pleased to lodge the June Exploration Report in accordance with the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) listing rules.
Exploration activities focused primarily on nickel, gold, and bauxite.
Total exploration cost in June 2007 amounted to Rp 18.9 billion.
NICKEL EXPLORATION
Antam conducted nickel exploration at Bull and Obi Island of Halmahera, Central Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi.
Antam conducted nickel exploration at Buli of Halmahera including Sangaji area with 25 m, 50 m, 200 m and 400 m spacing drilling while at Tanjung Buli area with 25 m spacing drilling. Antam conducted 25 m and 50 m spacing drilling to increase resources classification. Antam also conducted topography measurement, drilling grid, preparation and analysis.
Nickel exploration at Obi island included 50 m spacing, topography measurement, drilling grid, preparation and analysis activities to increase resources classification.
Exploration activities at Bungku, Central Sulawesi included Regional Geological Mapping (RGM), Semi Detailed Geological Mapping (SDGM), test pitting, 500 m spacing test drilling, preparation, analysis and geophysics analysis.
Antam conducted exploration activities at Wosu, Lawangke and Banggai - Central Sulawesi including RGM, SDGM, hand auger activity, 500 m spacing test drilling, preparation and analysis activity. Antam also conducted petrography for samples at Banggai.
RGM and SDGM were conducted to identify laterite nickel prospects while geophysics activities for identify the thickness of laterite nickel prospects.
Nickel exploration at Bulutalowa, Tangofa - Central Sulawesi included SDGM, 200 m spacing drilling, preparation and analysis.
Nickel exploration at Baunaga, Southeast Sulawesi, included RGM, SDGM, test pitting, 500 m spacing drilling, preparation, analysis and geophysics. At Tapunopaka, Antam conducted 25 m spacing drilling, lab preparation and analysis.
GOLD EXPLORATION
Antam conducted gold exploration at Pongkor, Papandayan of West Java, Seblat of Bengkulu, Batangasai of Jambi, Konawe of Southeast Sulawesi and Mao Mamuju of West Sulawesi.
Exploration activities at Pongkor included drilling, logging, sampling and analysis focusing on prospect between Gd. Handak and East Ciguha.
Exploration activities at Papandayan, Garut, included Detailed Geological Mapping (DGM), openings and core sampling. Antam conducted exploration at Seblat, Bengkulu focusing on SDGM, DGM, opening and sampling. The result indicated no significant grades so far.
Antam conducted exploration at Batangasai of Jambi included SDGM, DGM, opening and rock samples, magnetic geophysics, rock samples, soil, XRD, Fi and petrography/mineragraphy activities.
Antam conducted SDGM, DGM, opening and rock samples at Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi. At Mao Mamuju of West Sulawesi, Antam conducted RGM, opening and rock sampling.
BAUXITE EXPLORATION
Antam conducted bauxite exploration at Tayan, Mempawah-Landak, and Munggu Pasir of West Kalimantan.
Exploration activities at Tayan and Munggu Pasir of West Kalimantan included test pitting, samples, lab preparation, analysis and measurement.
Exploration activities at Mempawah and Landak of West Kalimantan included SDGM, test pitting, sampling, lab preparation and analysis. (end of release)
