Release: Antam monthly exploration report for June 2010

Antam?s exploration activities focused on nickel, gold and bauxite. Total exploration cost on above commodities in June 2010 amounted to Rp11 billion (preliminary figures).
NICKEL
Antam conducted nickel exploration at North Maluku and Southeast Sulawesi.
Antam conducted logging core, core sampling, test pitting, topography and grid measurement, georadar and drilling activities at Bull-North Maluku.
Exploration activities at Southeast Sulawesi particularly Mandiodo and Lasolo area included drilling, logging core, core sampling, mapping, grid and topography measurement.
Total nickel exploration cost reached Rp3.5 billion.
GOLD
Antam conducted gold exploration at Batangasai-Jambi, Pongkor and Papandayan-West Java, Cibaliung-Banten, Wawonii-Southeast Sulawesi and Mao Batuisi-West Sulawesi.
Exploration activities at Batangasai-Jambi included Detailed Geological Mapping (DGM), opening, collected samples of rocks, FI, core, petro/mineragraphy and XRD, conducted outcropping, drilled logging, track measurement, magnetic and IP geophysics.
Exploration activities at Java were conducted at several areas. At Pongkor-West Java, Antam performed logging core, collected samples of core, XRD, petro/ mineragraphy and Fl, conducted drilling, drilling track measurements magnetic geophysics, CSAMT, geological evaluation and modelling. At Papandayan-West Java, Antam conducted DGM, opening, drilling, logging core, collected samples of rocks, core and XRD and also conducted outcropping. At Cibaliung-Banten, Antam conducted DGM, collected samples of rock, core and petro/ mineragraphy, outcropping, drilling and geophysic track measurement.
At Wawonii?Southeast Sulawesi, Antam conducted exploration activities including Semi Detailed Geological Mapping (SDGM), DGM, opening, collected samples of rocks and conducted accumulation, reclamation and track measurement.
Antam conducted SDGM, DGM, opening, collected core, soil, petro/mineragraphy, FI/XRD samples, logging core, hand auger, drilling and track measurement at Mao Batuisi - West Sufawesi.
Total gold exploration cost reached Rp5.6 billion.
BAUXITE
Antam conducted bauxite exploration at Mempawah, Landak, Tayan and Munggu Pasir of West Kalimantan.
Exploration activities at Mempawah and Landak included grid measurement, EDM, test pitting and sampling.
Antam conducted grid measurement, test pitting and sampling at Tayan.
Exploration activities at Munggu Pasir included grid/ polygon measurement, test pitting and sampling.
Total bauxite exploration cost reached Rp1.9 billion. (end of release)
