Release: Antam monthly exploration report for March 2007

Jakarta, 12 April 2007--PT Antam, Tbk is pleased to lodge the March Exploration Report in accordance with the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) listing rules.

Exploration activities focused primarily on nickel, gold, and bauxite.

Total exploration cost in March 2007 rose 62% to Rp11.2 billion compared with Rp6.9 billion spent on February 2007.

NICKEL EXPLORATION

Antam conducted nickel exploration at Buli and Obi Island of Halmahera, Maluku, Central Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi. Total cost for nickel exploration amounted to Rp7 billion.

GOLD EXPLORATION

Antam conducted gold exploration at Pongkor and Garut of West Java. Gembes Mountain and Liman Mountain of East Java, Seblat of Bengkulu, Patah Tiga Mountain of Jambi, and Southeast Sulawesi. Total cost for gold exploration reached Rp3.2 billion.

BAUXITE EXPLORATION

Antam conducted bauxite exploration at Tayan, Mempawah, Toho and Munggu Pasir of West Kalimantan and Riau islands. Total cost for bauxite exploration amounted to Rp1 billion. (end of release)
