Release: Antam monthly exploration report for March 2010

(Jakarta, 13 April 2010)--PT Antam Tbk is pleased to lodge March Exploration Report in accordance with the Indonesia Stock Exchange listing rules.

Antam?s exploration activities focused on nickel, gold and bauxite. Total exploration cost on above commodities in March 2010 amounted to Rp8.7 billion (preliminary figures).

NICKEL
Antam conducted nickel exploration at North Maluku and Southeast Sulawesi.

Antam conducted logging core, core sampling, topography and grid measurement and also drilling activities at Buli-North Maluku.

Exploration activities at Southeast Sulawesi particularly Mandiodo and Lasolo area included drilling, logging core, core sampling, mapping and grid measurement.

Total nickel exploration cost reached Rp2.8 billion.

GOLD
Antam conducted gold exploration at Batangasai-Jambi, Pongkor and Papandayan-West Java, Cibaliung-Banten, Wawonii-Southeast Sulawesi and Mao Batuisi-West Sulawesi.

Exploration activities at Batangasai-Jambi included Detailed Geological Mapping (DGM), opening, collected samples of rocks, F1, petro/mineragraphy and XRD, conducted outcropping, drilled logging, drilling activities and established inland road for drilling machine transportation.

Exploration activities at Java Island were conducted at several areas. At Pongkor-West Java, Antam performed Detailed Geological Mapping (DGM), logging core, collected samples of rock, core, F1, XRD, and petro/ mineragraphy, drilling, drilling track and geophysics measurements, conducted CSMAT geophysics, sterilized drilling recommendation, geological evaluation and modelling. At Papandayan-West Java, Antam conducted DGM, opening, drilling, logging core, collected samples of rocks and core, outcropping, conducted geophysic track and polygon measurement and also conducted IP geophysics and magnetic. At Cibaliung-Banten, Antam conducted trenching, surface and core sampling, logging core and drilling.

At Wawonii-Southeast Sulawesi, Antam conducted exploration activities including DGM, opening, collected samples of rocks, core, F1, XRD and petro/ mineragraphy, drilling, logging core and drilling cut measurement.

Antam conducted DGM, opening, collected rock, core and F1/PET/XRD, drilling, logging core, IP geophysics and track measurement at Mao Batuisi - West Sulawesi.

Total gold exploration cost reached Rp4.5 billion.

BAUXITE
Antam conducted bauxite exploration at Mempawah, Landak, Tayan and Munggu Pasir of West Kalimantan.

Exploration activities at Mempawah and Landak included grid and topography measurement, test pitting and sampling.

Antam conducted grid measurement, test pitting and sampling at Tayan while at Munggu Pasir, Antam conducted grid/ polygon measurement, test pitting and sampling.

Total bauxite exploration cost reached Rp1 .4 billion. (end of release)
