Release: Antam monthly exploration report for November 2006

(13 December 2006) - PT Antam, Tbk is pleased to lodge November Exploration Report in accordance with the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) listing rules.

Exploration activities focused primarily on nickel, gold and bauxite.

Total exploration cost on November reached Rp10.4 billion, 22% higher than Rp8.5 billion spent on October 2006.

NICKEL EXPLORATION

Antam conducted nickel exploration at Bull, and Obi Island of Halmahera, Seram island of Maluku, Central Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi.

Antam conducted nickel exploration at Bull, Halmahera, including 50 m of spacing drilling at Sangaji block with 34 drilling pits reached 647.4 m depth, 25 m of spacing drilling with 641 drilling pits reached 13,972.25 m, 80 ha of topography measurement, 40 ha of grid, 19,896.3 m of logging activities and 19,363 samples. At Mornopo, nickel exploration including 25 m of spacing drilling with 271 drilling pits reached 4,889.5 m while at Tanjung Buli, nickel exploration including 25 m of spacing drilling with 24 drilling pits reached 387.15 m. Activities at Pakal island continued especially geological drilling to prepare road layout design. Total cost reached Rp5.3 billion.

Antam conducted nickel exploration at Obi island specifically Kawasi block including 50m spacing drilling activities reached 3,445.05 m, 120 ha of Detailed Geological Mapping, 2,122 core samples, 2,106.8 m core drilling description, sample preparations, analysis of 5,947 samples, grid measurement and drilling hole of 66 km. Antam also continued to conduct geotechnical activities to support infrastructure design, including tab analysis. Total cost reached Rp2.3 billion.

Sample analysis was conducted at Seram Island at cost of Rp69.2 million.

Antam conducted nickel exploration at Tangofa of Central Sulawesi including 4,736 ha of Semi Detailed Geological Mapping, 500 m of spacing drilling reached 6,007.7 m, 613 core samples, 2 km of track measurement and drilling pits and 613 samples at total cost of Rp476.2 million. Antam also conducted exploration at Wosu Morowali including 2,400 ha of Semi Detailed Geological Mapping, 10 core samples and 10 m of auger drilling at total cost of Rp45.5 million.

Antam also conducted nickel exploration at Southeast Sulawesi, specifically Pomalaa and Tapunopaka induding 2,969.15 m of drilling using 100 m of spacing drilling, 4,094 core samples, 3,710 sample preparations, 7.880 km of grid measurement and mine design. Total cost reached Rp257.9 million. Exploration activities to identify nickel resources were conducted at North Kolaka and Konawe at a cost of Rp202 million.

Total cost for nickel exploration reached Rp8.7 billion.

GOLD EXPLORATION

Antam conducted gold exploration at Pongkor and Garut of West Java, Seblat of Bengkulu, Patah Tiga Mountain of Jambi, Buru island of Maluku, Southeast Sulawesi and Mamuju of West Sulawesi.

Exploration activities at Pongkor included core drilling, core description and core samples at Ciurug vein below L.500. Drilling activities reached 592.55 m depth followed by 36 core samples. Total cost reached Rp247.3 million. Antam indicated no significant grade so far.

Antam also conducted geotechnical activities at Ciguha including 110.15 m of drilling activities, 110.15 m of geotechnical drilling and 15 rock samples.

Exploration activities at Papandayan of Garut included 57 ha of geological mapping, drilling activities, 710.30 m of core Logging and 110 samples of core description. Antam also conducted analysis at Bantarhuni vein. Total cost reached Rp1.1 billion.

Exploration activities at Seblat of Bengkulu conducted particularly at Lebong Kandis, Gunung Husein and Air Kuro veins including Semi Detailed Geological Mapping of 83.5 ha, opening of 37 m3, 15 rock samples, 22 core samples and fluid Inclusion, 58.10 m of drilling, 58.10 m of core logging, 5.5 km of track measurement and 5,734 spots of magnet measurement. Drilling activities indicated no significant grade or resource so far. Total cost reached Rp205.8 million.

Antam conducted exploration at Muaramanderas of Jambi, including Semi-Detailed Geological Mapping of 445 ha, Detailed Geological Mapping of 80 ha, 12 rock samples and opening of 80 m3. Total cost reached Rp23.2 million.

Antam conducted analysis activities at Mao Mamuju of West Sulawesi. Total cost reached Rp11.7 million.

Antam conducted gold exploration at Southeast Sulawesi specifically at Konsel, Wowoni and Konawe including Regional Geological Mapping of 7,575 ha, Semi-Detailed Geological Mapping of 90 ha, Detailed Geological Mapping of 38 ha, 52 geochemical samples and 41 rock samples and petrography. Total cost reached Rp19.4 million.

Antam conducted exploration at Buru island including Regional Geological Mapping of 40,220 ha, Semi Detailed Geological Mapping of 770 ha, 114 stream sediment samples, 98 rock samples, 4 samples of fluid inclusion and 4 samples of XRD. Total cost reached Rp60.5 million. Antam indicated 2 (two) prospect blocks and conducted further analysis.

Total cost for gold exploration reached Rp1.6 billion.

BAUXITE EXPLORATION

Antam conducted bauxite exploration at Tayan, Munggu Pasir of West Kalimantan and Seram island.

Exploration activities using 25 m spacing were conducted at Tayan including grid measurement of 1.57 km, 1 ha of topography, pitting volume of 84 pits (672.3 m) followed by collecting 178 channel samples and 198 sample preparations. Total cost reached Rp21 .7 million.

Antam conducted exploration at Munggu Pasir including 14.7 km of grid measurements, 2.6 ha of topography measurements, SO m spacing test-pitting grid reached 280 pits (973.30 m), 403 samples and 360 sample preparations. Total cost reached Rp35.2 million.

Antarn conducted exploration at Seram island including 83 test pitting spots (257.8 m) and 105 samples.. Antam indicated 1 (one) prospect area. Total cost reached Rp10.5 million.

Total cost for bauxite exploration reached Rp67.4 million. (end of release)
