Release: Antam monthly exploration report for Oct 2007

Jakarta, 12 November 2007--PT Antam Tbk is pleased to lodge the October Exploration Report in accordance with the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) Listing rules.

Exploration activities focused primarily on nickel, gold, and bauxite.

Total exploration cost in October 2007 reached Rp11.4 billion.

NIKEL EXPLORATION
Antam conducted nickel exploration at Buli and Obi Island -Halmahera, Central Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi.

Antam conducted nickel exploration at Buli-Halmahera with topography and grid measurement. At Obi, Antam conducted Detailed Geological Mapping (DGM), 50 m spacing drilling, topography and grid measurement, test pitting and preparation and analysis.

Antam conducted 200 m spacing drilling, grid measurement and preparation and analysis at Bulutalowa-Tangofa, Central Sulawesi. Antam conducted preparation and analysis at Witaponda-Bungku Tengah.

Antam conducted Regional Geological Mapping (RGM), Semi Detailed Geological Mapping (SDGM), test pitting and preparation and analysis at Baunaga, Southeast Sulawesi. Antam also conducted preparation and analysis at Tapunopaka, Southeast Sulawesi.

Antam spent Rp7.8 billion for nickel exploration in October 2007.

GOLD EXPLORATION
Antam conducted gold exploration at Pongkor and Papandayan of West Java, Gembes of East Java, Batangasai of Jambi, and Mao Mamuju.

Exploration activities at Pongkor included drilling at Kubang Cicau area of East Ciguha. Antam also conducted logging, sampling and analysis at Pongkor.

Antam conducted sampling and DGM activities at Papandayan, West Java.

Activities at Gembes, East Java, included SDGM and DGM activities, rock sampling, XRD, track measurement as well as magnetic GF measurement.

On top of SDGM and DGM activities, Antam also conducted magnetic geophysics measurement, rock sampling as well as XRD at Batangasai.

Antam conducted RGM, SDGM and DGM activities, rock sampling and magnetic geophysics activities at Mao Mamuju.

Total gold exploration reached Rp2.3 billion.

BAUXITE EXPLORATION
Antam conducted bauxite exploration at Tayan, Munggu Pasir, Mempawah and Landak which locates at West Kalimantan.

Exploration activities at Tayan and Munggu Pasir included grid measurement, sampling and preparation. Activities at Mempawah and Landak included SDGM, 50 m and 400 m spacing test pits, sampling and preparation, grid measurement and topography.

Total cost for bauxite exploration reached Rp1.3 billion. (end of release)
