Release: Antam monthly exploration report for October 2013

(Jakarta, November 12, 2013) -- PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk is pleased to announce its exploration report for October 2013 in accordance with the Indonesia Stock Exchange listing rules.

ANTAM?s exploration activities were focused on nickel, gold, bauxite, and coal in October 2013, with total preliminary cost of Rp9.4 billion.

GOLD
ANTAM conducted gold exploration activities at Pongkor and Papandayan, West Java; Cibaliung, Banten; and Batulicin, Jambi in October 2013. During the period, ANTAM spent Rp5.1 billion for gold exploration activities.

Exploration activities at Pongkor, West Java were consisted of geological mapping, core logging, core sampling, drilling, gravity and core analysis, as well as geological evaluation and modeling.

At Papandayan, West Java, ANTAM performed geological mapping, core logging, hand-auger/soil sampling, core and rock sampling, drilling, magnetic geophysical measurement, drill track measurement, GF track measurement, geochemical track measurement, sampling and point-load testing, core/rock/soil analysis, as well as geological evaluation and modeling.

At Cibaliung, Banten, ANTAM conducted geological mapping, core logging, soil sampling, core and rock sampling, drilling and geological modeling and evaluation.

Meanwhile, at Batulicin, Jambi and Air Niru, Bengkulu, ANTAM performed geological mapping, core logging, rock and TSG samplings as well as geological evaluation and modeling.

NICKEL
Nickel exploration activities were conducted in Buli, North Maluku and Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi in October 2013.

At Buli, North Maluku, ANTAM conducted semi-detailed geological mapping, topographical measurements, drilling and geophysical measurements, core sampling as well as SG and MC measurements.

The exploration activities at Pomalaa, Sulawesi Tenggara were consisted of semi-detailed geological mapping, drilling, core logging, core sampling, density and MC measurements, grid measurement, and polygonal measurement.

ANTAM spent Rp2.9 billion on nickel exploration activities in October 2013.

BAUXITE
ANTAM conducted bauxite exploration activities at Tayan and Munggu Pasir, West Kalimantan with total exploration cost of Rp1.4 billion in October 2013. The exploration activities were comprised of detailed geological mapping, test pitting, test-pit logging and sampling.

COAL
In October 2013, ANTAM conducted a series of coal exploration activities in Tebo, Jambi, which consisted of geological mapping, track measurement, sampling, and drilling. The total cost for these activities amounted to Rp55.1 million. (end of release)
