Release: Cooper Energy updates Kurnia-1 drilling activity

(30 October 2007)--We are pleased to announce that since the last release (COE191007f), the 12 ?? pilot hole has successfully been opened to 17? over the interval from 1,237 to 2,450 metres and the 13 ⅜? casing has been run and cemented to 2,438 metres.

The current operation is drilling a 12 ?? hole, which this morning was at 2,480 metres.

The expected general future operations are:
? drill the 12 ?? hole to approximately 3,000 metres
? run wireline logs over the open hole section from 2,469 to 3,000 metres
? run and cement the 9 ⅝? casing string
? install and pressure test the blow out preventers
? drill an 8 ?? hole into the primary objective Kujung reservoir section. (end of release)
