Release: Delisting of PEARL Energy Limited

SINGAPORE, July 31, 2006 ? Reference is made to the announcement dated 28 July 2006 by Pearl Energy Limited (the ?Company?) on the completion of the compulsory acquisition by Aabar Petroleum Investments Company PJSC (?Aabar?) of all the remaining ordinary shares in the Company in issue not already owned, controlled or agreed to be acquired by Aabar or any party acting in concert with it.
The Company wishes to announce that further to the confirmation by The Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the ?SGX-ST?) that it has no objection to the delisting of the Company from the official list of the SGX-ST, the Company will be delisted from the official list of the SGX-ST on 2 August 2006.
