(Jakarta 22 June, 2010)--With this letter, the Management of PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. ("ENRG") would like to clarify the statement written by Kontan Newspaper on 21 June 2010. The Newspaper stated that there is a rumor going on which indicates that some of the creditors file lawsuits against ENRG. The Newspaper also stated that one UK based creditor, Plexus, filed the lawsuit in the UK Court Furthermore, the Newspaper states that the lawsuit is related to a US$ 131 mln loan extended against ENRG shares
We would like to clarify that up to this moment, ENRG has serviced its debt obligations based on the required terms and conditions and the required time frame ENRG has recently applied the cash proceeds from the rights issuance to reduce its loan arranged by Credit Suisse from US$ 450 mm to USD 200 mln in the 1st Quarter 2010. Therefore, the statement made by Kontan newspaper is inaccurate. ENRG has no US$ 131 mm loan in its book and is consequently unaware of any lawsuit made by the creditor in relation to the US$ 131 mln loan.
