Release: ExxonMobil confirms successful bid in Indonesia exploration licensing round
Company to evaluate additional Indonesian oil and gas opportunities

IRVING, TEXAS, June 14 -- Exxon Mobil Corporation today confirmed its subsidiary, Esso Exploration International Limited, was high bidder on Surumana block located in the Makassar Straits off the coast of Sulawesi in the latest Indonesian tender. The Oil and Gas Directorate of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced the results of their 2005 Indonesian Exploration Tender Round on June 2.
"We are pleased to add this prospective acreage to our Indonesian portfolio," said Steve Greenlee, vice president of Esso Exploration International Limited.
The Surumana block, which comprises 5,340 square kilometers (1,320 acres), is located in the North Makassar Basin offshore in water depths ranging from a few meters (few feet) to more than 2,000 meters(6,562 feet). (end of release)
